Introduction: Exchange Information Requirements (EIR)

What is an EIR?

The Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) sets out the Owner’s information needs for this project. It defines what information is required, why it’s needed, and how it will be delivered and used across the project lifecycle.

It acts as the primary contractual document supporting tendering, coordination, verification, and a successful handover to the Owner.

Who is this for?

Document Usage Guide

This EIR is a living document. While it sets the baseline for the Tender, it should be reviewed and refined by the Project Team post-appointment to ensure all requirements are technically feasible and align with the specific project scope.
